Meet the Staff

Transitional Pastor

David A. Waganer serves as Transitional Pastor. David started serving as our Transitional Pastor in June 2007 and plans to stay with us until we call a Senior Pastor. He and his wife, Karen live in Jefferson City. David also serves as the Resource Coordinator for the national Stewardship Development Association. Karen serves as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for St. Mary's Pediatric Clinic.

David is committed to assist Memorial through various transitions in an effort to provide a great foundation for the next Senior Pastor to build upon. The Lord has been at work during the time of transition unifying the people and adding to His church. If you are seeking a place to worship, please be assured that you are welcome here. Recently someone handed me a thought provoking statement that says, "You don't get to choose your time, your time chooses you. You are where and who you are for a reason." Please be in prayer for Memorial and for our Pastor Search Committee to locate God's man to come and become our next pastor.

A Note from Brandon...

Hello and welcome to Memorial Baptist Church! I am glad you found your way to this wonderful page of knowledge! It's exciting to be here at Memorial and I am thrilled to have met a bunch of amazing people already! If you are a youth (7th-12th) or know of a youth that would be interested in joining us, bring em! Our youth is a great place to get connected and feel comfortable while learning and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There are many different schools represented in our group such as: Thomas Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Homeschool, Jefferson City High, Russellville High, Blair Oaks, Lighthouse Prep, Eugene, and others!

Kari Sullivan
Children's Minstry Coordinator

Welcome to our website parents! I am the part-time interim Children Ministry Coordinator and am honored to be entrusted with your children. I have taught school and done childcare during my previous employments. I have also served in Children's Ministry in various programs through the years. My husband, Jason, and I have two sweet boys that are being raised by rookie parents, a loving extended family, and a terrific church family. My hope is to provide opportunities for your children to be discipled by you, their friends, and the Children's Ministry workers at Memorial. Please take a moment to look over our programs under the Ministries/ Pillar tab of the website. I hope that you can find that program or event that makes your child excited about God! If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact me through kari@memorialchurch.net or the church contact information. Have a joyful day! Kari

Tara Hoskins
Secretary

Tara Hoskins serves as our church secretary.  She began her position in January of 2006 and has put her many talents to use to make our church more efficient and organized.  Tara has been married to her husband, Troy for 19 years, and has two sons, Adam and Zach.  Before joining the staff at Memorial, Tara worked in Real Estate Lending at an area bank.

A Note from Tara...

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Memorial.  I began attending Memorial when I was just an infant, as my parents were members here.  I have grown up in this church, and have loved calling Memorial my church family.  It is for that reason that I am so excited to be able to be on staff here as well, serving the church that has been my home for so long.  I hope that you will grow to love Memorial as much as I do.

If you are new and wondering about upcoming events, where a class meets, or anything at all, I would love to answer the questions you might have.  I am working hard to keep our church office running smoothly and my desire is that I be able to serve in any way that I am needed.  Thank you again for your interest in our church.
